With the continuous development of China's economy, especially China's accession to the WTO in 2001, China will play an increasingly important role in the world economic arena. Chinese enterprises want to survive and develop in the fierce competitive society, especially in the more brutal competitive environment of the international economy. They are more and more eager to feel the importance of medium and high-level management talents. China's MBA education has also developed rapidly. In the west, MBA is known as "the favored child of heaven" and "management elite". At present, how can Chinese MBA become the elite of Chinese business circles, and what core competencies should they have to improve their own quality and help the development of Chinese economy? This paper puts forward the following five questions to specifically discuss how Chinese MBA can successfully develop its own core competitiveness

core competence theory is one of the latest and highest achievements in the integration of contemporary economics and management. The term "core competence" first appeared in 1990, and was proposed by American economists C.K. Prahalad and Gary Hamel in the core competence of the corporation on the Harvard Business Review, They pointed out that "core competitiveness is the knowledge and skills integrated within an organization. It is a unique ability that can bring excess profits and is not easy to be imitated by competitors in the business process."

4. Uniqueness. Core competitiveness is unique to enterprises and is not easy to be imitated

5. Aggregation. Although the core competitiveness is partial, it is by no means single. It is the integrated ability of enterprises. It is also because of the collectivity that the core competitiveness has its unique characteristics

6. Timeliness. Although the core competitiveness is not easy to imitate, it does not mean that it can never be imitated and surpassed by competitors. Enterprises must continue to innovate, develop and cultivate the core competitiveness in order to maintain or expand the leading gap between the core competitiveness and competitors
